We Need Change in County Government
The citizens of Yavapai County deserve elected officials who listen and act for the good of ALL our citizens.
Intelligent Planning + Citizen Involvement = Quality Growth
 |
County Leaders continue to ignore citizen's voices on water, transportation and community planning issues.
My vision is a County government where citizen involvement is encouraged and valued.
You, the voter, will be my only "special interest." |
 |
Our Supervisors just put us $50 million in debt to get us out of a budget crisis they saw coming and failed to address. Is this how you manage your finances?
Election year politics is a poor way to manage our County budget.
Pay-as-you-go financing of capital improvements, realistic capital budgeting and no debt are the keys to fiscal responsibility. |
 |
WATER... enough fighting!!... We need to resolve our disputes and insure a sustainaable water supply for future generations.
Water policy should be based on science, not special interests. Politcal wars and posturing will lead to water shortages, dry wells, and endless litigation. (more on water issues here)
Water is too vital to our future to have it held hostage by political shenanigans. |
 |
Yavapai County's transportation plan is designed for failure within 20 years.
I will work toward a comprehensive transportation network of well-planned roads, airports, and creative transportation solutions. Roads to benefit special interests do not serve the future and are actually a special government subsidy for the few. (more on transportation issues here)
We need a transportation network that insures everyone's mobility and quality of life. |

|
There has been no serious Economic Planning for Yavapai County.
I will work to establish a regional economic development plan that provides tools and resources for clean, high-income, knowledge-based industry. We need to create better jobs and a more sustainable economy. (more on economic issues here)
Only with a broader tax base and long-term economic planning can we provide the infrastructure we need to serve all our citizens. |

Challenge Rejected
Georgene is disappointed by Judge Peter Swan's ruling rejecting her challenge to the sitting supervisor's nominating petitions. "We presented strong evidence that she did not personally circulate petitions that she later personally verified."Go to the Campaign Literature page to read the press release.

I am asking for your vote. Together we can create a better future — a future where our elected officials plan for the resources we actually have and protect the people who already live here. We don’t just need to grow. We need to grow better. We don’t just need to do enough to get by. We need to do the best we can do. As Supervisor for District 1, I will work hard to create the future we all know is possible.
I need volunteers all across Yavapai County to help me create real change. Click here or on the Get Involved button on the left to volunteer.
